Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully before using Postverse. By creating an account or using Postverse, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Postverse is based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Postverse”).

1. What Postverse is

Postverse is a software tool that helps you create short-form reaction videos and publish them to social platforms. You provide a screen recording (a “demo”) of your product, choose or generate an AI persona, and Postverse generates a reaction “hook” and splices it together with your demo into a finished video. You can then schedule and publish those videos to social accounts you connect, including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Postverse is a creative tool. The personas, images, and videos it produces are generated by artificial intelligence and will vary in quality and accuracy. Postverse does not review, verify, or endorse the content you create, upload, or publish, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about what is appropriate, lawful, or accurate to publish.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Postverse. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or over and that any information you give us is accurate and kept up to date.

Accounts are created and secured using a magic link, a one-time email code, or Sign in with Google — Postverse does not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and Google account secure, and for all activity that takes place under your account. Do not share your account, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed it without your permission. Accounts are for a single user and may not be resold or shared.

3. Subscriptions, credits, and billing

Postverse is a paid service. There is no permanent free tier; access is provided through a trial and paid subscription plans. The plans, their features, connected-account limits, and current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, and those displayed details form part of these Terms when you subscribe.

Credits

Postverse runs on credits. Actions that use AI — such as generating a video, an additional still frame, or a new AI persona — consume credits at the rates shown in the app at the time you perform them. Actions such as writing captions, splicing, scheduling, and publishing do not consume credits. Credits have no cash value, are not a currency, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or withdrawn.

Credits included with a subscription plan are refreshed each billing period and, unless your plan expressly offers rollover, unused plan credits expire at the end of each billing period and do not carry over. Credits purchased as separate top-up packs do not expire while your account is open. When you use credits, they are drawn from your plan allowance first. If an AI generation fails for a technical reason on our side, the credits for that action are automatically returned to your balance.

Payment, renewal, and cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can change plan or cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked in your billing settings. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew after that.

We may change our prices or the credits and features included in a plan. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the app before the change takes effect for your subscription, and the new price will apply from your next renewal.

4. Refunds

Except where you have a right to a refund under applicable law, all payments are non-refundable. In particular, credits that have been used are non-refundable, and unused credits and the unused portion of a billing period are not refunded when you cancel. Top-up credit packs are non-refundable once purchased.

Because Postverse is a digital service that is supplied and performed as soon as you start generating content, where you are a consumer you agree that performance begins immediately and you acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right to cancel a digital service is lost once performance has begun with your consent. Nothing in this section affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory consumer protection law.

5. AI-generated content

Postverse uses third-party artificial-intelligence models to generate personas, images, and videos. You understand and agree that:

  • AI personas are synthetic likenesses. They are not real people, and any resemblance to a real, identifiable individual is unintended and coincidental.
  • AI output is probabilistic. We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, original, unique to you, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and comparable or similar output may be generated for other users.
  • You are responsible for reviewing every generated video before you publish or otherwise use it, and for making sure it is lawful, accurate, and appropriate for your audience and each platform.

6. Your content and the licence you give us

“Your content” means the demos (screen recordings) you upload, the prompts, text, brand names, and settings you enter, and anything else you provide to Postverse. As between you and us, you keep ownership of your content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, to trim, crop, splice, add captions, or apply a watermark), process, and transmit your content, and to publish it to the platforms you connect, in each case only as needed to operate and provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except to the limited extent we need to retain copies to comply with law or as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have all rights, licences, and permissions needed to upload your content and to have it processed and published through Postverse;
  • you have the right to feature the product, brand, app, or other material shown in your demos; and
  • your content, and its publication, does not and will not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or break any law.

7. Ownership of the videos you create

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and with the terms of the underlying AI providers, you are free to use the finished videos you generate with Postverse, including for commercial purposes such as marketing your product. Videos produced on a trial or an unpaid plan may carry a Postverse watermark; the watermark is removed on eligible paid plans. The Postverse name, logo, software, website, and the curated persona library remain our property or that of our licensors, and nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you.

8. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not use Postverse to create, upload, generate, or publish:

  • content that impersonates, depicts, or creates a misleading “deepfake” of a real, identifiable person without their clear permission, or that is designed to deceive people about who is speaking or endorsing something;
  • content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination;
  • sexual or explicit content, content that sexualises minors, or any content involving anyone under 18;
  • content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, or that you do not have the rights to use;
  • content that breaks the rules, terms, or community guidelines of any platform you connect and publish to.

You also agree that you will not:

  • reverse-engineer, decompile, copy, or attempt to extract the source code of Postverse, or resell or white-label the service;
  • circumvent, disable, or abuse any credit limit, trial limit, plan limit, watermark, feature flag, or security control;
  • access another user’s data, or interfere with, overload, or disrupt our systems or infrastructure; or
  • scrape or harvest data from the service using automated tools except through interfaces we provide for that purpose.

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe breaches this section.

9. Social publishing and third-party platforms

When you connect a social account, you authorise Postverse to schedule and publish content on your behalf to that account through our publishing partner, Post for Me. Connecting an account is done through each platform’s own secure sign-in; Postverse acts on your instructions and does not control the platforms themselves.

Your use of each connected platform is governed by that platform’s own terms, and you are responsible for complying with them. We are not responsible for a platform rejecting, delaying, removing, restricting, or refusing to publish your content, for any action a platform takes against your account, or for changes to or the unavailability of a platform’s features or interfaces.

10. Third-party services

Postverse relies on third-party providers to operate, including (among others) Supabase, Stripe, fal.ai, Anthropic, Kling, Amazon Web Services, Post for Me, Vercel, and PostHog. We are not responsible for outages, failures, delays, maintenance, or changes by these providers, or for events outside our reasonable control (including cyberattacks, network failures, natural disasters, and government action).

11. Service provided “as is”

We will provide Postverse with reasonable care and skill as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by law, Postverse is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI generation, splicing, scheduling, or publishing will always succeed, or that any particular feature will always remain available. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of Postverse is limited to the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including your non-excludable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, use Postverse for an unlawful or abusive purpose, or initiate a payment dispute or chargeback in bad faith. You may stop using Postverse at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account from your settings.

On termination, your right to use the service ends and any remaining credits are forfeited without refund. We will delete your content within a reasonable period after your account is closed, as described in our Privacy Policy, except where we need to retain limited records to comply with law. You are responsible for downloading any videos you want to keep before you close your account.

14. Changes to the service and to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the app before it takes effect, and we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using Postverse before they take effect. Continuing to use Postverse after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Privacy

Your use of Postverse is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law. By using Postverse, you confirm you have read and understood it.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of Postverse, are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please contact us first at team@postverse.io and we will try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.

17. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation, merger, or sale of the business. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the plan details shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Postverse regarding the service and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject.
